Today apple has dropped their latest OS X called Mavericks. Ditching naming the new OS’s off of cats the new update really strives to bring your desktop together with your other apple devices to bring you a cohesive experience.  Although with new release of the operating system they say ‘Our most advanced OS yet” which is obvious however by adding over new features we are buying it this time around. With the price of the OS being exactly $0 we are sold.

So what is exactly new?

We can’t mention every single change or update so we will list some of our favorites.

You can launch the iBooks app on your Mac and the books you’ve already downloaded on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch will automatically appear in your library.  So if you start reading on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, you can pick up right where you left off on your Mac. This is one of the coolest aspects of the new iBooks. Here is to hoping that this will mean that in the future features like this will continue to the point where interaction between our devices are seamless!

Find Tabs

An about damn time feature, Finder finally has the ability to have tabs. One of the most annoying things when you work on Apple is how many windows you end up with.  However with the new finder this should help out a lot when trying to navigate between folder. You can even expand a Finder window to full screen and effortlessly move files wherever you want. While not the most exciting feature, those who actually use the OS on a daily basis for work know how great this feature is/

iCloud Keychain

Don’t you hate when you forget your password? we do too. With the new icloud keychain finally create those hard passwords with numbers and letters you’ve wanted to created but were to scared of forgetting. Best of all the passwords work between all your Apple devices.

Finally! Easily one of the best features about iPhones is the notification center being able to know what has happened while you were away with just a glance is a feature I’m surprised that it is just being rolled around now. While although you can technically just see the notification bubbles on each application on your dock this is a feature we are very happy to see implemented.

Although the features aren’t mind blowing the features are mad helpful. Get your maverick on.
