In early October we debuted Lauryn Hill‘s first new post-incarceration track “Consumerism”, a fiery, fast-paced spoken rap about society’s obsession with materialism, consumerism, and artificial beauty. She spits so fast on the track it’s hard to follow all the lyrics. Well, fear not because now Ms. Hill has dropped a lyric video to accompany the track directed by Lauryn with trippy visual put together by Jon Casey, who’s previously done videos for The Game, Frank Ocean, Flying Lotus, and Toro Y Moi. Check it out below and stay tuned for more on Lauryn Hill’s upcoming Letters From Exile collection.
