Nike’s N7 Collection series began in 2009 to support youth sports programs for Native Americans across the US and has since raised over $2 million for the cause. Their latest N7 collection is a joint effort with one of the oldest and highly-regarded fabric mills in the US, Pendleton Woolen Mills. Rightfully so then, that the wool blanket serves as the focal point for the whole collection with a unique native-inspired print conceived by project director Derek Roberts. The pattern is designed to simultaneously represent previous, current, and future generations of Native Americans with a combination of arrows and shapes.Part of the proceeds collected from sales of the blanket will benefit the American Indian College Fund.
The rest of the collection sports styling consistent with the colors and pattern of the blanket and includes graphic tees, a trick embroidered windbreaker, and two sneaker styles. The sneakers, a pair of Roshe Runs and a pair of Air Force 1s, are detailed with N7 embroidery and Pendleton wool inserts. The collection hits select stores and Nike online starting this Saturday, October 26th. Check it out below and all the details at Nike.
