Super Bowl XLVIII is fast approaching, with the big game kicking off in at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on February. Ahead of the big game though, mega-retailer Bloomingdale’s has teamed up with The Council Of Fashion Designers Of America (catchy name, I know) to re-imagine the iconic football helmet for their “Fashion Touchdown” charity initiative. Bloomingdale’s enlisted 48 designers including menswear brands Mark McNairy, Billy Reid, Rag and Bone, Todd Snyder, and Richard Chai to each design a one-of-a-kind helmet that reflects their own style and brand. Today, these helmets hit the auction block at NFL Auctions where anyone can bid on them until the auctions close on February 4th with proceeds going to charity. Check out some highlights below and see all 48 over at Bloomingdale’s.
