I'd try to stick with pretreating everything, and maybe using OxyClean as a pretreater from time to time, but not using it in a solution for your whole house. If you only have powdered detergent, make a paste with a bit of warm water and apply that to the stain. While I was pouring in the solution.. a idea popped in my head.
