I can't tell you the number of times I've had women compliment my car. Owned it from 80k-120k miles. Interior was okay. Ladies made signs in traffic to show through windows with numbers. Depends on the girl, but often it will do the opposite and make the good girls stay away from you. I tooled around in a 72' MGB for a couple of years. Having a bunch of trash thrown around in your car definitely will not impress the ladies. You don't need any material possession for social proof, you need solid alpha male friends. The best chick I went with didn't give a fuck what I drove, she was into me not the car. She wanted him to park in the back lot. Used to have a ford lightning when I was a sr in highschool. The car didn't get them on their way home with me. I knew a guy who drove a beater car for various reasons; no car payments, cheap on gas, dependable, and mostly he never really cared and viewed it as just transportation. Think that'll do it ;).
Shit, if I had $1800 and I was local, i would gladly take it. In my opinion, as long as your car is clean, comfortable, and looks/feels/sounds safe, that's all that counts.
