There are 2 turfs in place, one turf specifically caters for football and rugby whilst there is also another turf which will be suitable for netball, hockey and tennis amongst other sports. Newlands College girls hockey team was the first user of the hockey turf on the Monday afternoon whilst the football and rugby teams will start using the turf on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon. Work on the turfs were finished at 8.30am prior to the opening ceremony at 9am. Over the next year we will all see a few subtle changes I hope.
