I am just worried that the -dx9 option will be discontinued by Psyonix/Epic at some point because they also recently discontinued support for mac and linux, or is that more unlikely to happen ? Do you have an idea what the problem could be ? Would future updates for DX11 optimize the game? Honestly even a GTX 1050 laptop should be able to handle this game easily, I can't believe they released that DX11 update with such poor performance testing they didn't catch the issue.They probably did something along the lines of comparing average FPS before and after the update but they didn't actually bother playing the game to see if it runs well (microstuttering, random frame dips, higher frame latency, etc). I run the game at around 400-500 fps. Fyi if the game feels like its dropping more frames than before, its probably due to the game defaulting to Direct X 11 now.
