Worked for me as well. First I did a hard reset on the remote (remove batteries, press any button for 20-30 seconds) and replaced the batteries, that didn't help. Any help is appreciated! michael simon. There is a common problem with many of the Samsung TVs. My cable box is a TiVo Mini. I can't use the remote to turn the TV on/off or change the volume. They should supply a refund. I have in the past and did again check both remotes with the camera from my cell phone. Not sure if the issue is connected to remote control stuff, but this TV is a joke. 45 minutes after plugging the cable back in and it's still responding. The TV remote doesn't do anything, I really never use it as I use the cable remote fo everything but when this happens I try them both.
I honestly thought it was the tv but it is the controller batteries which I changed them to new ones but I think I unpaired it which is never good. Very frustrating.
It works fine by pressing on television and able to watch video. Just so that you are aware of this before you start. I also am unable to successfully have the TV respond to any other functions on the remote, Menu, Tools, Source, etc...In addition the blue LED light at the bottom of the TV under the SAMSUNG symbol is constantly flickering while the TV is on (I know the TV has the four settings: Off, In Standby, Watching TV, Always - mine set to Watching TV) Previous to my issue this light would only flash when a command was selected on the remote and the TV received it and executed it. !My remote control suddenly stopped working fully, only being able to turn the TV on/off or bringing up the Home screen. Yes, I've done all of the above except install a new sensor. My LG remote and the remote for my cable system are non-responsive. Do this for the power button and the volume buttons. It means TV sensor might has some problem . The tv remote doesn't do anything at all, cannot access the menu, tools, etc. 05/22/2018 by
